Carpet for every room in the house

Carpet is still the most comfortable floor you can walk on. It is warm in winter, quiet in a busy house, and soft where kids play. We stock a range of styles in Lewisville and install them ourselves.

Why homeowners still choose carpet

Hard floors get the attention online, but carpet keeps winning bedrooms, family rooms, bonus rooms and stairs. It absorbs sound between floors, adds warmth to cold slabs, and gives a sure footing on stairs.

  • Soft and warm underfoot, especially over a quality pad
  • Quieter rooms and less noise traveling between floors
  • Safer, grippier stairs
  • Wide choice of colors, textures and price points

Styles

The main carpet styles, in plain terms

Plush / Saxony

Cut pile with a smooth, velvety finish. Formal and soft. Shows footprints and vacuum marks more than other styles.

Textured cut pile

Twisted fibers at slightly different heights. Hides footprints well, which makes it the everyday favorite for busy homes.

Frieze

Tightly twisted, long fibers that curl in different directions. Casual, durable and very forgiving of traffic.

Berber / loop

Uncut loops with a flecked look. Tough in hallways and basements. Pets with claws can snag loops, so ask us about that.

Cut and loop / patterned

Combines cut and looped fibers to make patterns. Adds interest in living rooms and hides wear.

What the specs on a carpet sample mean

Fiber. Nylon is the most resilient for high traffic. Polyester (including PET) is soft, holds color well and is budget-friendly. Triexta combines softness with strong stain resistance. Wool is natural and premium.

Face weight is the ounces of fiber per square yard. Higher usually means more carpet, but density matters as much.

Density is how tightly the fibers are packed. Fold a sample back: the less backing you can see, the denser it is, and the better it will wear.

Twist is how many times each fiber is twisted per inch. Tighter twist holds its shape longer.

Pad matters more than most people think. The right cushion makes carpet feel better and last longer.
